New Ghostbusters Movie Confirmed To Go Female Cast

With the proliferating rumours that started months and months ago, it's finally confirmed that there will be a new Ghostbusters movie, and it will be an all-female cast.

Not just an all-female cast but they will be "hilarious women".

Paul Feig of the Bridesmaids fame has confirmed that he will be directing it and already has in mind who he will cast.

If I were to look at the Bridesmaids cast list and pretend I'm Feig, the new Ghostbusters will probably be Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph. Yes, it's going to Bridesmaids 2: Ghostbusters.

However, original Ghostbuster Bill Murray has already suggested his dream team to be McCarthy, Wiig, Linda Cardellini and Emma Stone - which is still great choices.

Feig in an interview has said that he wanted this new movie to be a reboot, not a sequel. He will delve into the origins of this world and also make it both very scary and very funny at the same time, while still "giving nods to what's came before".

When I first heard of the idea of getting an all-female cast, immediately I thought this would be a nice dynamic to explore and it just might work. So I'm all for it.
