The first trailer for any movie is supposed to make an impact and get the audience emotionally involved. Project Almanac's first trailer has done just that.
The second trailer for any movie is supposed to reveal more interesting scenes and plot points to hype up the movie even further. Project Almanac's second trailer has done just that as well.
In the first trailer, we get to know the characters a little bit and the concept of the movie. The second trailer that just came out few days ago has more humour and gives the audience more of an idea what direction the movie will take.
So far, everything about the movie looks good in these trailers. And there is that realism by filming with a handheld camera, combined with how the group found out about seeing one of them in an old home video. I've had countless of daydreams about time travelling after Back To The Future and if I was going to discover a time travelling machine, it would be just like that.
Also, it looks like it has the same feel as Chronicle; but quite unlikely it will be as good.
Starring a group of unknowns, helmed by a new director Dean Israelite; Project Almanac is slated to be released on 30 January 2015.
