The Conjuring 2 Gets A Release Date And Tough Competition
When The Conjuring 2 was strangely taken off the previously announced release date of next year's Halloween, a second announcement was quickly released reporting that they were in fact waiting for James Wan to finish off promoting Furious 7 so that he can begin to work on this sequel in which he gave life to himself.
And now we have the new release date for The Conjuring 2, which is 10 June 2016, opposite the previously announced Now You See Me 2 and also Uncharted.
This is stiff competition because, Now You See Me has a sequel despite average reviews because there were enough people to go see it and enjoyed it; and Uncharted has a very strong following in the gaming community.
But The Conjuring 2 will not be a pushover by any means. With James Wan back at the helm, it has sparked some faith back into the franchise. It will be an interesting box office weekend. But it's still one and a half years away.
