Wonder Woman Director Confirmed
As DC continues to move forward with their ambitious plan of creating a cinematic universe, the preparation for a Wonder Woman standalone movie has been a long time coming.
Securing Gal Gadot was not only met with fans' displeased outcries, but pundits are questioning DC and Warner Bros.'s decision-making process for hiring a model to play this iconic character instead of a learned actress.
Now, securing Michelle MacLaren is an interesting choice. She's done mostly TV series up to this point, but her credits include The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and also Game Of Thrones.
On the one hand, MacLaren has done great dramatic storytelling mixed with action sequences; but on the other, having only done 20 episodes of television, that's not a whole lot of experience to go into a big budget movie like Wonder Woman.
At least the project is headed in the right direction now, which is forward. But as per the announced slate of DC movies, Wonder Woman is scheduled for 23 June 2017 - 2 and a half years from now is still a long time away.
