Trailer Of Kendrick's The Last 5 Years Musical

If you don't know Anna Kendrick can really sing, you don't have to go too far back in time but just watch Pitch Perfect again or when she hosted Saturday Night Live. Or just wait for Pitch Perfect 2 to come out next year.

The Last 5 Years is based on the musical of the same name written by Jason Robert Brown, and directed by Richard LaGravenese. So naturally it is a musical.

I haven't seen any musical on the silver screen for quite a while. And with Kendrick playing the lead, well, I can get really biased; but I'm looking forward to a good musical and hope this will deliver.

Not to mention Jeremy Jordan is the male lead. Jordan's songs in the very unfortunately short-lived TV series Smash (which I thoroughly enjoyed its 2 seasons, also starring Katharine McPhee, and thought it should have "lived" longer) are some of the songs that I'm still wanting to buy the MP3s but can't because I live in Brunei.

The trailer doesn't show much other than the fact that it's shot with beats like a musical, and promises a good story with that dramatic opening.
