It's a typical Jason Statham movie where we'll see Statham kick butts and use his charisma to light up the screen.
I liked the opening sequence with Sofia Vergara, I thought that was a very funny clip and showed a lighter side to this movie. I was hoping that would continue on, making Wild Card a action-comedy, but alas, doesn't look that way as the trailer progressed.
Still, it looks passable if you are a Statham fan; and if you're not, you probably won't be reading this anyway. The only thing that's intriguing is that the writer is William Goldman, who's written some interesting movies in his career but has been on a hiatus for the last decade. Let's see what he'll be bringing to this movie.
Oh, and Stanley Tucci is also in this; but that's not saying much when he has also chosen to do Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Though he has never disappoint.
Wild Card will be released during the dumping grounds of January, 30 January 2015 to be exact. So you can expect this to go nowhere other than give you mindless entertainment for a couple of hours.
