Falcon To Return In Captain America 3
Before today, the only superheroes that have been announced would appear in Captain America: Civil War, obviously other than Captain America himself (Chris Evans), were Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Crossbones (Frank Grillo) and Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).
Civil War could be the first appearance of Black Panther, that is if he doesn't show up in Avengers: Age Of Ultron first.
Yesterday, it was just announced that Anthony Mackie, who plays Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, has been confirmed to return as well.
Today, in an exclusive interview with IAmRogue.com, Mackie has confessed how much he wanted to return for the sequel.
"I didn't know. When we finished Cap 2, I asked and begged to come back, literally," joked Mackie. "It's always a surprise with Marvel, man. If you're not one of those like Thor or Cap, then you have no idea. The only person who had an early version of the script and read the outline was Chris Evans. I talk to him all the time because we are good friends and he would always say, 'Man, the movie is going to be good.' I'm like, am I in it? He would say, 'It's going to be a big movie.' So he would never tell me if I was in it or not. Even he keeps secrets. It's a dirty business."
We can see how tight of a control Marvel and Kevin Feige keep their movies under, but rightfully so. And the result speaks for themselves.
I wasn't surprised when Falcon was confirmed to appear in Civil War. There will definitely be a slew of names to come, too, as what would be a civil war without more superheroes battling it out.
