As far as first impressions go, I think the creator / director, Adam Groves, has an eye for direction. I have never seen his webisodes "Break", produced by his Visual Dimensions; and this being his first feature film, it will say a lot about his storytelling ability.
Story wise, though the subject matter is as relevant as it can get - being in the era of superheroes now, I'm just a little bit fearful it resembles Kick-Ass too much - from sewing his own costume to suffering from bruises, I just hope there's more to its story and character developtment.

On the other hand, I'm quite impressed at the level of action choreography. Though some may not be executed well or look professional, but for a small movie like this, competent fight scenes could add a lot of value to the movie's entirety.
What I'm hoping to see from Groves' directorial debut is a tight and consistent pacing. That I think could make or break this movie.
And just judging from this trailer alone, Jonathan Chen's performance could be a highlight. Never knew the dude had this in him.
And if Groves has managed to capture the essence and expand from two very interesting lines by Chen, "So if you are the hero then I must be the villain," and "In this world, villains will always win," then we may just have a very interesting story about heroes and villains here. Much like Unbreakable.

Awesome! Do you know when this will be released?
