I'm impressed that this news has been kept under wraps for this long, but J. J. Abrams has wisely recruited three main stars from The Raid: Redemption and The Raid: Berandal to up the ante in the action department for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Iko Uwais (pictured left), Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman (pictured right) may have just been on the set to choreograph or help in some fight sequences, or they could totally don some robes and wield lightsabers when the movie comes out later this year.
Whatever the case, here's another thing done differently by Abrams from his time with Star Trek. He knows how important fight scenes are in Star Wars and he has gone and recruited from one of this year's biggest action movie, The Raid: Berandal.
Though I thought the sequel was slightly weaker than the original, the fight scenes were still amazingly realistic and out of this world.
The Force Awakens just keeps building on its own excitement for the fans!
