Tatum Sheds Light On Upcoming X-Men Project, Gambit

Channing Tatum in an interview has opened up about the script for his upcoming project, an X-Men spin-off solo movie, Gambit. And he said it's "killer".

For one, it's going to be an anti-hero origin movie and it won't be about saving the world, as oppose to the main franchise like X-Men: Days Of Future Past and next year's X-Men: Apocalypse.

Tatum described Gambit, a.k.a. Remy LeBeau, as, "... he's always felt the most real of the X-Men to me. He's kind of a tortured soul and he's not a good guy. But he's not a bad guy, either. He walks his own path. And of course he plays cards and drinks and he's a martial arts badass!"

With a script written by Joshua Zetumer of last year's RoboCop, and produced by Tatum, Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner; now all they need is a director to get started with production in order to meet the 7 October 2016 release date.

It's a big year for X-movies next year, with Deadpool leading the pack on 12 February, followed by Apocalypse on 27 May. They have beat Disney's Marvel and Warner Bros.' DC to releasing three comic book movies in one year.
