R.I.P. James Horner

There was a time when watching a movie and a score comes up, I could identify James Horner's signature style in the melody.

Horner had a very distinct style that carries beautifully across the silver screen and accompanied scenes that elevated their impact to the audience.

At only 61, Horner was piloting his own aircraft when it crashed in Santa Barbara. The last movie project he worked on will be Antoine Fuqua-directed Southpaw starring Jake Gyllenhaal which will be released on 24 July 2015.

Horner is a two-time Academy Award winner, and is most notable for his work in Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Braveheart, Field Of Dreams, Iris, Legends Of The Fall, Apollo 13, Willow, An American Tail, Aliens and The Amazing Spider-Man.
