Sigourney Weaver Confirmed To Appear In Ghostbusters

Director Paul Feig has confirmed on his Twitter that he has managed to convinced Sigourney Weaver to make a cameo of some sort in the new Ghostbusters.

It seems like Feig is getting the old gang back together. We've already heard that Bill Murray has been on set to film his scenes, so has Ernie Hudson quite recently. Dan Aykroyd has always wanted to come back to this world so he's definitely in it.

And now, Weaver, who is one of the original cast members, is also back! Will we hear Rick Moranis' name very soon too?

But if Feig is able to get everyone from the original movie back (except Harold Ramis obviously), why is this movie a reboot again? Why not just make it a sequel where the events of this movie will happen some 30 years after the first movie? Wouldn't that make more sense? I would prefer to hear the names of Venkman, Stantz and Zeddmore than some new characters they would be playing.

Ghostbusters will be out on 15 July 2016.
