Another actor turning to directing is Paul Bettany. His directorial debut, Shelter, stars Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie in what looks like their most dramatic performances yet; especially for Mackie.
The trailer looks like the movie has quite a quiet tone to it; and has an artistic feel, like it's been influenced by Derek Cianfrance. But that's still too soon to tell if it's really the case.
I've always been interested in Connelly's work, minus Dark Water. She's a class act and I'm just baffled how she's not an A-lister yet. Mackie is continuously pushing and expanding himself with so many movies and so many different roles, he's becoming more and more interesting - not just the second-tier superhero in the assembly of Avengers anymore.
Shelter will be out on 13 November 2015.
