The headache Marvel Studios went through with developing Ant-Man, what with the director changes leading to script changes; and how the movie turned out in the end, that was no easy feat.
But because the movie worked so well despite all the hiccups, Marvel is bringing back the same writing team.
Deadline has confirmed that Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari have officially signed on as writers together with Paul Rudd for the second movie, Ant-Man And The Wasp. Adam McKay, who assisted and almost directed the first movie, will also assist in the sequel's storyboard before the trio of Barrer, Ferrari and Rudd develop the screenplay.
Both Barrer and Ferrari were also part of the writer's room for the Transformers universe.
The sequel will once again be directed by Peyton Reed and will be released on 6 July 2018.
