I'm not sure if this is even movie news worthy because it's supposed to be released on Netflix and selected IMAX screens on the same day. Meaning I'm not even sure if we'll get this released in a cinema near us.
And why release it on Neflix too because many will just sit and home and watch in the comfort of their sofa rather than paying $20 for a ticket.
This first trailer of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword Of Destiny has only Michelle Yeoh speaking in a monologue, and in English. So is this going to be an English movie? Yeoh seems to be the only one returning from the original cast.
Her character is one of two that has been revived for this sequel, the other being Zhang Ziyi's character but is now a different actress playing it.
The director has also changed, from Ang Lee to master choreographer Yuen Woo Ping; so at least we can still expect some kick-ass fight scenes - especially with Donnie Yen in the leading role.
The movie also stars Jason Scott Lee and Harry Shum Jr. and will be released on 26 February 2016.
Honestly though, this is a movie that's 10 years too late. I was a fan but now I'm not anticipating to go revisiting that world again. And this trailer didn't do anything to peak my interest, so let's wait for the second trailer.
