A New POV Movie With Hardcore Henry

STX Entertainment is releasing a new type of movie that only has the protagonist in a POV (or point-of-view) role.

Meaning to say, and I'm guessing here since I haven't seen anything about it, the audience will not get to see the protagonist but will experience the movie from his point-of-view. Just like a lot of the POV video games out there. And we'll probably get to see his hands or his body should the camera pans down. And also, very shaky camera action.

An action-thriller, the movie plot is described like a video game, "Hardcore Henry is an original film that was completely shot from the hero's perspective. You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife. She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife is being kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back..."

The movie stars Haley Bennett and Sharlto Copley; and is written and directed by Ilya Naishuller, who gathered funds for his project through IndieGoGo!

Initially titled "Hardcore", it was released at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and STX has snatched up the distribution rights. However, that title was not available for commercial use and Naishuller changed it to Hardcore Henry.

The movie will be released on 8 April 2016.
