The Chronicles Of Narnia To Get Reboot

There will be new installments of The Chronicles Of Narnia, as confirmed by producer Mark Gordon after he purchased the rights to adapt the fourth book.

However, he also confirmed that the new movie will be a reboot of sorts, even though it will be an adaptation of the fourth book, The Silver Chair; and Life Of Pi writer David Magee has already completed a script.

Gordon also mentioned that it will be a totally new cast with totally new characters that were never seen before on the silver screen, though will be characters from C.S. Lewis' books.

I have never enjoyed the movie adaptations as they gave me more questions than answers each time, always suffering from continuity issues, and therefore impeded the entertainment value.

Whether or not this franchise gets another shot isn't even a concern to me but I understand that being a very popular property, with its fan base, there are some money to be made.

We can expect to hear casting news in the next few months, but no word yet on a release date.
