Margot Robbie as the loony Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad must have impressed, to the point where Warner Bros. Pictures is said to be looking to develop her own movie even before Suicide Squad is anywhere near its release date of 5 August 2016.
This also cements the direction where Hollywood, and especially the comic book genre, are leaning more towards having more female characters in the lead.
The movie however, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, will not be a solo one as Harley Quinn will be joined by other female characters of the caped kind, like Birds Of Prey and even Batgirl.
It is also said that Robbie herself was the reason for creating this project as, in her research on Harley Quinn, she fell in love with the DC female characters and then brought on a writer to draft a script; which WB must have liked a lot, coupled with Robbie's take on Harley.
Let's wait for an official announcement and a release date.
