According to The Hollywood Reporter today, Marvel's TV series "Luke Cage" villain played by Mahershala Ali is negotiating to join the cast of Alita: Battle Angel.
Ali, if confirmed, will play another villain named Vector in the manga-adapted movie. He fixes matches in a gladiator style combat game called Motorball in which Rosa Salazar's Alita will have to play in.
Other than Salazar, the cast includes Christoph Waltz, Jackie Earle Haley, Keann Johnson and Ed Skrein.
Directed by Robert Rodriguez, there is no release date set yet.
