I would have thought Sony Pictures would want to get a heavier hitter to direct their upcoming hit video game adaptation, Unchartered.
Considering Warcraft still haven't given the much needed box office success to a video game adaptation, and the next attempt is from a more promising Assassin's Creed (though the second trailer has me a little worried); a director with a better record would have given me more confident.
But then again, I could be wrong about Shawn Levy. I did enjoy Real Steel, but that was probably his best one.
According to Deadline, Levy has stepped in after writer Joe Carnahan, who wrote the most recent draft of the script, decided to direct Bad Boys For Life instead of Unchartered.
We can expect to hear a release date and casting news soon.
