Diego Luna Cast In Scarface, Antoine Fuqua Drops Out

In a mixed piece of news yesterday, director Antoine Fuqua has decided to drop out of directing the Scarface remake for Universal Pictures due to his commitment to The Equalizer 2 for Sony Pictures.

Sometimes I wonder if these directors actually plan their schedule out properly or there is more under the reports that we read about.

But on the other hand, Scarface seems to have found its lead as Diego Luna, from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has begun negotiations to star in it.

The script is written by Terence Winter, from an earlier draft by Suicide Squad helmer David Ayer.

No confirmation yet on the release date of Scarface.
