Donald Glover And James Earl Jones Joins Disney's The Lion King

Who knows what new technology Walt Disney Pictures has in store for us with its upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King.

Jon Favreau once again sits in the director's chair for this one after a super successful run with The Jungle Book.

Favreau has taken to his Twitter account to make two announcements on the cast just last weekend. He announced that Donald Glover (an actor who has done very well for himself recently) will be voicing Simba while James Earl Jones will reprise his voice-acting role as Simba's father Mufasa.

The latter has been one of Disney's best villain and part of that reason certainly was the voice behind the character. This is also the first time to see a voice-actor coming back for a remake.

ComingSoon also reported that Favreau will be using a new Virtual Reality technology to make the movie.

No release date has been set for now.
