Sony Sets Release Date For Angry Birds 2, Shifts Animated Spider-Man

Following the announcement of Masters Of The Universe, Sony Pictures has announced two more dates, including one shift.

Apparently Angry Birds have made enough profits for a sequel to move forward as the studio has set the date for the follow-up as 20 September 2019. We can be sure the main cast will be back to voice these birds which only one of them is truly angry.

But the still-untitled animated Spider-Man project, which is supposed to be voiced by Shameik Moore as the titular character Miles Morales; not Peter Parker; has moved up a week earlier to 14 December 2018 - a little surprising because Star Wars no longer occupy that space.

It will be going up against Universal Pictures' Mortal Engines from the fantasy novel of the same name. Peter Jackson is co-writing the screenplay.
