Yes! This is the role I have been waiting for years for Jackie Chan to do!
STX Entertainment has released the first trailer and poster of The Foreigner, with Chan as a father seeking revenge for his dead daughter.
A small and serious movie that not only has Chan in some action sequences but also showcase his acting chops. Supporting him is Pierce Brosnan as the potential antagonist.
The first trailer gave me chills more than once and Chan's tortured character wins me over every time he is onscreen.
The director Martin Campbell has had good and bad movies, Casino Royale but also Green Lantern. However, writer David Marconi's name look more promising here with credits like Enemy Of The State and also Live Free Die Hard.
So hopefully this movie will be fantastic when it comes out on 13 October 2017.
