Jon Bernthal of Marvel's TV series character The Punisher has been getting a lot of work lately as he has already appeared in this year's Wind River and Baby Driver.
According to Deadline, he has just completed filming Steve McQueen's Widows and is now jumping onboard Damian Chazelle's next film after last year's La La Land which nabbed him an Oscar for Best Director.
Bernthal will join another stellar cast of Ryan Gosling, Corey Stoll, Jason Clarke, Claire Foy and Kyle Chandler.
The movie is based on James Hansen's biography "First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong" and will be produced at Universal Pictures.
First Man is targeting a 12 October 2018 release date.
