Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios may have found its male lead for the upcoming Captain Marvel.
Variety has reported that Jude Law will be playing the character Mar-Vell, also known as Doctor Walter Lawson, and will play a mentor figure to Brie Larson's titular character.
Ben Mendelsohn is also onboard to play the main villain of the story, while Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role as Nick Fury - with both eyes as the story will be set in the 90's.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the movie is scheduled to be out on 8 March 2019.
