Jamie Foxx's Spawn Casts Jeremy Renner As Detective Twitch

First-time director Todd McFarlane has announced that the character that would be onscreen the most is Detective "Twitch" Williams, not Spawn himself. Spawn will likely have the kind of screentime that Batman would have, minus out alter ego Bruce Wayne. The audience is supposedly to follow the story through the eyes of Detective Twitch.

Yesterday, Deadline has reported that Jeremy Renner has signed on to play the detective. Though I just find a quote from the director hilarious because he claimed that Twtich need not be a "bodybuilder or GQ handsome".

If he did not need any of those qualities, why did he go after an Avenger; who naturally would have a built-in fanbase that considers him well-built and good looking already? Either McFarlane has no idea who Renner is, which is unlikely, or he is blind to good looks, or he just insulted his star.

Hoepfully McFarlane will be a better director than his spokesmanship.
