I am very surprised to see someone as young as Paul Dano create shots that are so moody and artistic in this trailer. But then again, Dano is always choosing the artistic and indie type of movies and this directorial debut reflects those choices he has made thus far.
This movie also looks more like it's a Mulligan movie than a Gyllenhaal movie. And these two put together could create something very dark and very deep.
