For such a stacked cast with such an acclaimed director in Joe Wright, this movie just couldn't find the right pace.
It was slow throughout, and there was not enough suspense to capture the attention. But Wright has done such a fantastic job in creating how an agoraphobic would view her surroundings and bringing the audience into that world.
Wright also showed that he was drawing inspirations from rear window with certain shots, but also how the movie was playing on the TV in the beginning.
One thing that also came to light was how good an actor Wyatt Russell is. He hasn't had a lot of visible roles but his turn as the U.S. Agent in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier that had America crying.
The rest of the cast like Julianne Moore, Gary Oldman and Brian Tyree Henry were great but just didn't have enough screen time. But Jennifer Jason Leigh literally had nothing to do here.
