[Review] Greyhound (7/10)

 Title - Greyhound
Studio - Apple+
Starring - Tom Hanks, Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan, Travis Quentin, Elisabeth Shue
Writer - Tom Hanks
Director - Aaron Schneider
Release - 10 July 2020

Without Tom Hanks carrying this movie, it probably wouldn't have kept me captivated. I thought his performance, always bringing so much humanity on his face, was what gave so much emotions to the audience.

The other impressive thing was the screenplay by Tom Hanks. This movie had nothing to keep audience glued to the screen in terms of what one could put on paper. But with Aaron Schneider's direction, just some simple dialogue and Hanks' character constantly throwing out orders, they created tension and drama without much visuals or action.

The production looked really small, everything was contained in just a few small set pieces; hence the costs were probably very low. And obviously, this was meant to be a TV movie on Apple+ so it was made with that limitation in its look and feel.
