I haven't seen a good horror in a while. And as scares go, this had a few good scare when the movie was still in the first half, introducing to this world.
As we followed the couple, the director Remi Weekes led us to understand (or tried to) these two characters and who they were. And while there was still that mystery, the scares were really good.
But the second half slowed down considerably with some visual exposition that took a while to get to the good part.
However, once we got there, the scary figures were no longer scary as we knew and understood who or what they were. So one could argue for or against in the storytelling. But as far as the story went, I liked it enough to be drawn into this world.
