First conclusion after watching this movie, Tanner Buchanan is a better actor than "Cobra Kai" made him out to be. He was the only character that was somewhat enjoyable here.
Second conclusion, Rachael Leigh Cook's acting skills did not age well.
Third conclusion, I thought this would be better than it actually was. Very disappointing.
Biggest problem was the script by R. Lee Fleming Jr. The decision to drop background information of the lead characters onto the audience at certain points were poorly timed. These information would have helped the audience form an image of these characters, but when they came late it made the characters seemed silly and hard to get behind them.
Buchanan's character to jump onto a stage was so out of character that the movie immediately lost all credibility with me. And that's before I realized Addison Rae's one note acting would detract my viewing pleasure even further.
This was a complete waste of time and at the end there were no redeeming qualities that I thought I should have just gave up on me half way through.
