This was a very simple premise. So simple that it's genius. And to see how a whole movie was built on something that simple was mind blowing.
This movie really showcased the talents of Robert Pattinson. It showed him in a light never before seen in any other movies, and for him to bring this character to live was exhilarating.
However, I thought the movie suffered from a slow middle that took too long to get to the third act. And even though the movie finished strong, it was still a lot of muddy waters to wade through.
What I really was impressed with was how visceral the whole feel of the movie was. You could almost taste the heat and the sand sitting in front of the screen. And that credit really goes to David Michod for the way he directed each frame. Even just a fly inside a car was so memorably annoying.
