Bob Odenkirk is always a great watch. And I'm glad that he got to lead a whole movie, an action one no less. Derek Kolstad's script isn't unlike his John Wick movies, but with a slight different twist to the main character.
But even then, this was such an enjoyable watch. The way his character was introduced, with the setup for the first real fight where, being rusty, he got beat up quite badly too. That fearlessness in the character, however, was infectious as we the audience cannot help but cheered for him.
The direction by Ilya Naishuller was capable enough to begin with, having done Hardcore Henry. But with Kolstad's script, there was so much more to grab on to.
What I really want to see now is a crossover between this and John Wick. Please make it happen.
