The cinematography on wherever this movie was shot in Ireland really captured the place and the feel of this tiny little place.

And to the four main cast members, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan; were just some of the best I've seen all year. They could all be nominated in their respective categories and I would be happy for them.

Right from the beginning, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. From the way each shot was framed to the characterization by the actors, and most importantly, the dialogue. Everything about the movie was just captivating.

The only problem I have was when the story turned a little bit fantastical. It took a while for my brain to adjust to what I was seeing onscreen and then to accept that this was the world these characters were living in.

Other than that, I was captivated from start to finish.
