I cannot tell what the general audience's fascination with this movie was. It's a very typical doll / A.I. horror movie to me.
At least Ronny Chieng is getting a lot of work these days, even though this role wouldn't move his acting career forward; but I'm sure he's getting paid well.
This movie is so forgettable that I don't even remember how it ended just a few weeks after watching it, because as I tried to recall now writing the review, I'm drawing a blank. What I do remember is that the movie had a good, solid production set and the doll looked like a real doll - does that make sense? Good performance all around, too.
