Is it cringe to say cringe? That's what one of the lines suggested, but this movie was just cringe throughout.

It's poorly written, not sure how the direction could have been better when those were the lines; and the director was also partly responsible for those lines so there's really no chance to elevate it. But a terrible script is one thing, to create scenes that cringe is just another level.

The were really good actors like Alexandra Shipp and Hadley Robinson that delivered what they had to, but also actors that really felt out of place with every line they had to deliver, like Gata and Charlee Fraser.

The two leads are better than this, but I guess a cringe rom-com is Hollywood's version of a haze for actors on their way to bigger successes.

Even the ending montage where everyone was singing to "Unwritten" was cringe-worthy.
