Here's a sense of Emma Seligman's talent for writing and directing. I played the movie, wasn't sure I was going to watch it at the time as I scrolled through what other movies I have in queue. And just the dialogue that Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri were having pulled my attention into the movie and I just sat through it happily.

Sennott, also on writing credits, was a fresh face I have never seen before onscreen. And the pair's chemistry and friendship just worked as I believed that they have known each other for most of their lives.

Everything plot point about the movie was funny, and Edebiri was great under Seligman's directing. Others like Ruby Cruz was also a great supporting member with her genuine want for altruism that just got brushed off completely by the leads. And then Summer Joy Campbell who I knew exactly what she was portraying.

The only one that I wasn't entirely behind was Havana Rose Liu, who sometimes was too expressionless. Marshawn Lynch was funny, his outtakes as the credits were rolling were not.

I don't know why this movie wasn't more popular, but it should have given Theater Camp a run for the best comedy of last year.
