This reminded me of Butterfly Effect. It's the kind of movie that has a complicated storyline but when everything comes together in the end, it will give you a lot of goose bumps.
Dylan O'Brien is quite the underrated actor. His performance here was a highlight throughout. Eliza Scanlen, however, didn't impress as much. I wanted more from her towards the end but she just didn't make me believe.
I wished the movie didn't take the whole first half of its running time to setup the family drama, which very quickly bored me. And even after the phenomenon started, it didn't grab me fully as well until probably the last quarter.
Still, once everything became clear, you could see what Celine Held and Logan George wanted to do, which wasn't bad at all.
Lauren Ambrose from TV series "Servant" kind of traumatized me as I still saw that shadow of a grieving, frustrated, tired, freaking out mother. She performs so well in this kind of role that I immediately went back to "Servant" and felt the after effect once again.
