I didn't understand this. Was this a good way to tell this story, what with all the confusing time jumps? I understand that's what the character was going through, he's confused with his own timeline and story details; but now the audience is too.
I was still interested in the story, though; much of it due to the brilliant Richard Gere performing it. He was able to make me feel mortality and aging and succumbing to sickness.
But everything else was kind of muddled up.
