I'm a fan of Luca Guadagnino's last few films, but this year, including Queer and also Challengers, I'm not a fan of. Queer being the least favourite.
I didn't know why this story was told. Daniel Craig's character wasn't a likeable one and the whole story was completely uninteresting from start to finish. Even just as a character study, I wouldn't want to take this up as a subject.
Also, there were some weird and truly unnecessary dream sequences, which I usually abhor unless they moved the story along.
I hope the novel is actually much more interesting than the movie.
