[Review] 28 Years Later (5.5/10)

Title - 28 Years Later
Production - TSG Entertainment, British Film Institute, DNA Films
Starring - Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Alfie Williams, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O'Connell
Writer - Alex Garland
Director - Danny Boyle
Release - 19 June 2025

The second movie from the trilogy is still the best one. This third instalment, while a far departure from the tone and story from the first two, wasn't interesting at all.

The only part that had the most beautiful cinematography and suspense was when Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Alfie Williams running on the causeway. Everything else, especially when it was Jodie Comer's turn to shine, which she did, didn't had much to say.

The whole plot with Ralph Fiennes' character wasn't that interesting of an existentialism story. And Williams' arc from someone who was weak and frail from his first outing into the mainland and then becoming almost capable in the second outing, was just too unrealistically quick.
