I was afraid that this movie would be too cheesy and played more like a cash grab. But it did not.
It was better than I could have hoped for because there was more to its story than just a rehash of the original.
The addition of Joshua Jackson's character and subplot also made it more interesting with an additional layer to the story.
Ben Wang was a good Karate Kid, though I'm not sure if you could still call him that since his training has all been kung fu.
And with Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio both playing as sensei, the dynamic and clash also left me wanting more of them but I think what we got was just the right amount.
But no signature crane kick at all?
