That wallpaper-scratching scene has etched itself into my mind. I can't unsee that because my imagination has told me how painful that would feel.
Robert Pattinsona nd Jennifer Lawrence gave such powerful performances. It's just that the story wasn't particularly interesting to sit through as it was one depressing episode after another. I'm not saying that it's bad, just that it wasn't really going anywhere - or there was only one way it could go. And it was difficult to watch someone go through depression that way.
Sissy Spacek had a smaller role but so effective and powerful that towards the end, when she said that line, you knew what's going to happen next.
