What this pacing lacked was a sense of urgency. With just about three days for Supergirl to do what she needed to do, she wasn't doing what she needed to do.
The shortfall here lied on director Craig Gillespie who failed to instill that emotional core in the story, which was already a very simple one.
Milly Alcock carried the movie really well. So during the beginning of the third act when the focus shifted to Eve Ridley's character, I felt the air got sucked out of the room.
The action sequences also were lacking. Compared to James Gunn's Superman, which this movie copied the style from, this one was two steps down.
Lobo should have been more effective. How did he end up in jail anyway?
