Paul Rudd was such an interesting choice for this movie. It reminded me Flora & Son with Joseph Gordon-Levitt - how he and Rudd both brought in a crazy amount of charisma to an unconventional musical movie; with songs written specifically for them that never showed their limits.
Nick Jonas wasn't bad, either. He didn't take me out of the movie, not even for a second. And bravo for him to take on such a negative character. I thought there would be a redemption arc, but no.
And that ending, it hooked me in emotionally and never let up until the credits started rolling.
