[Review] Sons Of The Neon Night (3/10)

I was really hoping this would be good, perhaps change my mind about Hong Kong movies. It looked like it had a very strong cast, and the trailer looked decent enough. I had hope. And then it turned out to be the worst movie I watched this year.

Here's my problem with movies out of Hong Kong. Somehow, along the way, with genres like this one, they started to focus on shock value and stylistic way of directing. I don't mind a good, high concept realism type of flick. But the story must always serve the execution, not the other way around. This movie was everything I feared, and further cements my fear of what Hong Kong movies have become today.
