This must be Darren Arronofsky most normal, mainstream movie. But it's not very good. Even though it looked like a lot happened in the movie, there wasn't a lot there. Matt Smith was entertaining but he's not in the movie a lot, and he was also there for exposition. And he continues to be good in mediocre movies.
Austin Butler carried this movie with plenty of charisma but the overall material was just very middling.
