[Review] Masters Of The Universe (8/10)

The cheesy and goofy tone fit this movie so well, it's like a throwback to the 80's cartoon. Even Skeletor was like an updated version on the silly but fun tone. I had a blast.

It was the closest to an epic space opera since the first Guardians Of The Galaxy. Sure, certain characters should have had a bit more to do like Idris Elba and Morena Baccarin's characters, even Alison Brie's Evil-Lyn; and the action sequences could have been more epic; but there was never lack of fun. And I thought the execution on pacing and tone were just spot on by director Travis Knight.

I do hope this gets a sequel, to see Adam / He-Man grow into a stronger leader than that speech he gave inside the jail cell.
