This January movie was a big surprise for me because I didn't expect to be this entertained. With a title like "Mercy" and an unimpressive trailer, and getting a January release, I expected a ho-hum, watch-and-forget kind of outing but I was very impressed.
This was a very Timur Bekmambetov movie, and probably the easiest gig for both Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson (other than voiceover works) as they just had to sit in one place the entire time (almost).
Both leads gave really good performances which really carried the movie and the emotions. And , surprisingly again, there was never a dull moment. The action sequences felt legit and the story was compelling.
